Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to the Prismara Discord bot and this website (together, the “Service”). By adding Prismara to a server, using its commands or buttons, or using this website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Who may use the Service
You must meet the minimum age required to use Discord in your country and comply with the Discord Terms of Service, the Community Guidelines and the Discord Developer Policy. Only a person with the Manage Server permission (or the server owner) may add Prismara to a server and change its settings. If you add the bot on behalf of a community, you confirm that you are allowed to do so.
2. What the Service does
Prismara is a moderation tool. It reads messages in the channels it can see and may delete messages, send warnings, time out, kick or ban members, record cases and notes, post logs, assign a verification role and take similar actions according to the settings chosen by the server’s administrators and moderators. The Service is described in more detail in the bot’s /help and /guide commands.
3. Server administrators are responsible for their server
Prismara carries out the instructions and settings of the people who manage a server. Server owners and moderators are responsible for how they configure and use it, including every action taken with it against their members, and for making sure that this complies with the law and with Discord’s rules. We do not review individual moderation decisions and are not a party to disputes between a server and its members. If you disagree with an action, please contact that server’s moderators.
4. Automated decisions can be wrong
Filters and the AI model work on patterns and probabilities. They can miss harmful content and can flag harmless content (for example jokes between friends or quoted text). Treat automatic flags as an aid for human moderators, not as proof. We recommend starting with the “log only” action and reviewing flags before allowing automatic deletion or punishment.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service to harass, discriminate against, stalk or harm people, or to punish members for reasons that are unlawful or unrelated to running a community;
- attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, scrape or gain unauthorised access to the Service or its infrastructure, or to bypass permission checks or rate limits;
- use the Service in a way that breaks the law, the Discord Terms of Service or the Discord Developer Policy;
- use the Service to collect personal data about members for purposes other than moderating your server;
- misrepresent your identity or authority, or use another person’s account to control the bot.
6. Moderation data you create
Cases, notes, reasons, settings and rules text that you or your moderators enter remain your responsibility. Keep it accurate, relevant and professional, because the people it concerns may have a right to see it. How we store and delete data is explained in the Privacy Policy.
7. Availability and changes to the Service
The Service is provided as a hobby or community project and may be slow, interrupted, changed or discontinued at any time, with or without notice. Features can depend on the permissions you give the bot and on Discord’s own systems, which we do not control. We do not guarantee any level of uptime.
8. Removing access
You can stop using the Service at any time by removing the bot from your server. We may block a server or a user from the Service, or remove the bot from a server, at our discretion, in particular if these Terms are broken or if the Service is being misused or abused.
9. Intellectual property
The Prismara name, the bot’s software and this website belong to their respective owners and are protected by law. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service as intended. You keep all rights in the content you and your members post; we only process it as described in the Privacy Policy so that the Service can work. Discord and other names mentioned belong to their owners.
10. Disclaimer
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, reliability or non-infringement, to the extent permitted by law.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, loss of data, loss of members, loss of reputation, or for harm caused by actions the bot took (or failed to take) according to your settings or because of errors in automatic detection. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, such as liability for intent or gross negligence, or for injury to life, body or health.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms, for example when the Service changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. If you keep using the Service after a change, you accept the updated Terms. For significant changes we will try to give notice, for example in the support server.
13. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be sent by email at glaceevee@proton.me or in our support server on Discord.
